Opening of Store Marks End of Landmark Year for Women’s Apparel Company
American Fork, Utah (Jan 2, 2007) - Shade Clothing, the first company to infuse modesty into today’s hottest fashion trends, has opened the doors of its first retail location. The Shade Store, located in American Fork, sells Shade’s complete line of products, including its semi-formal dress collection, Basic Black, and its new Brother for Sister graphic tee line.
“Since launching Shade Clothing, I have been told over and over again that Shade should have its own store, but the top priority has been keeping up with demand and consistently launching new products to stay ahead of the trends,” said Chelsea Rippy, CEO and founder of Shade. “With the recent launch of our new brands, Basic Black and Brother for Sister, the timing finally felt right to open our own retail location, providing our customers with another venue to see and try on our products.”
The Shade Store officially opened its doors on Monday, Dec. 4, just in time for the holidays, and is scheduled to host its official grand opening on Tuesday, Dec. 19. The 500-square-foot retail location is located at 50 North Center Street in American Fork.
“For me, the opening of The Shade Store is the capstone event of what has been a banner year for Shade. Looking at everything we’ve done, it’s hard to believe the company is just two years old,” Rippy said. “In 2006, we closed our second year of operations with more than triple our sales revenue from our first year; brought our total number of employees to more than 160; expanded our retail presence in high-end boutiques into 12 states; launched our Personal Shopper program; and introduced two new brands. We are growing at a tremendous pace and are looking forward to another year of making modesty fashionable.”
