Shade Clothing Introduces Line of Slips
Modest Clothing Company Will Offer Slips and Innovative Extender Slips with Fall 2007 Collection
American Fork,(Utah (August 2007) Shade Clothing, the first company to infuse modesty into today’s hottest fashion trends, announced today the addition of slips and extender slips to its popular women’s clothing line for Fall 2007. This is the first time Shade has offered slips, and the company is one of the first to offer extender slips.
The slip line is debuting with seven products: two women’s slimmer slips, two women’s extender slips, and three Girly extender slips.
“Our goal has always been to provide products that let women wear today’s most popular fashions and trends without feeling uncomfortable in something overly revealing,” said Shade founder/CEO Chelsea Rippy. “Our slimmer slips will make women feel sexier in sleek dresses and also provide more coverage under translucent materials, while our extender slips will allow women to purchase and confidently wear skirts and dresses that they may have passed over before because they were a little too short.”
The slimmer slips come in two lengths, mid calf and knee, and both styles will be available in black and nude. The well-designed undergarments do not have an elastic waistband, which allows for a seamless look under clothes. The slips come in a polyester/lycra blend, and the stretch fabric slims the appearance of waists and hips. Prices start at $26.
Shade’s innovative extender slips are designed to be worn underneath skirts and dresses, with an attractive trim at the bottom of the slip exposed below the skirt hemline. The trim visually extends the length of skirts and dresses, adding subtle inches of coordinating material to the overall look. Shade will initially offer two women’s extender slips, the extender slip with lace pleats and the extender slip with acetate pleats. Both will be available exclusively in black; prices start at $26.
Shade is also offering three slip extenders in the Girly Line, designed for girls ages four through nine. The Girly extender slip comes in white and pink, and the cotton/spandex blend features a ruffle trim at the bottom; the Girly extender slip with eyelet lace will be available in black and white and features a gathered eyelet trim; and the Girly extender slip with acetate pleats will be available exclusively in black and features an accordion pleat trim. Prices start at $14.
“As a mother of two girls, I couldn’t be more excited about the Girly extender slips,” said Shade COO Char Garn. “Often, my daughters get taller but they don’t necessarily get wider, so they grow out of skirts and shorts much quicker than needed. By adding extender slips to my daughters’ wardrobes, they’re able to wear their skirts and dresses until they truly grow out of them.”
Shade’s slips are sold online, in select retail locations, and through Shade Personal Shoppers. Shade has also added new tops to its clothing line for fall and winter, as well as new dresses in its Basic Black collection.
