Char Garn Bio
Char Garn was introduced to Shade Clothing when it was still in its infancy. Throughout the process of designing and perfecting the shirts, Chelsea Rippy, Shade's founder and CEO, would turn to her friend and neighbor for valuable feedback. Char was immediately a believer in the Shade Clothing product and quickly became Chelsea's most enthusiastic "sounding board" as she would try on each style and work with Chelsea on designs.
Char officially became Chelsea's business partner in the fall of 2004 and Shade Clothing launched shortly after with a simple mission: make clothes that help women feel comfortable and happy. Today the two work together, playing off each other's strengths, to design and distribute Shade Clothing to women all over the United States.
Char serves as the COO of Shade Clothing, where she focuses her energy on sales and financial growth strategies. She also oversees the Personal Shopper Program, working with the numerous self-employed Shade representatives across the nation. Her motivation to share the message about Shade Clothing is fueled by her belief in the product. Her passion for Shade Clothing only intensifies as the company expands its product line and increases its reach. Char is dedicated to the company's mission, and her goal is to get Shade Clothing in every woman's closet.
Char graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in community health. She lives in Utah with her husband and two daughters.
