Cap Cards are non-transferable and can only be linked to a single customer account. Customers making purchases with the Cap Card at Shade retail stores will be required to show picture ID. When a membership is upgraded online, the annual membership fee will be added to the purchase. The cap card will automatically be tied to the customer account that is purchasing the upgrade. A physical card with the Cap Card number will be mailed out with the customer order. The card may be mailed separately from the customer order. If that occurs, no additional shipping charges will be assessed.
Customers will receive a renewal reminder when their membership is about to expire. Renewal fees can be paid online or at Shade stores. If membership expires, cap cards will become inactive. The cap card will be reactivated once the renewal fee has been paid. Shade will extend the Premier Customer status for 12 months from the day the renewal fee is paid. Annual fees are subject to change without notice. Customers may cancel their Premier Customer status at any time. Annual membership fees will not be reimbursed if a customer chooses to cancel prior to expiration.
